Using the Right Gardening Tools Gets the Job Done
While it is possible to create a beautiful garden without a bunch of expensive equipment, having the right gardening tools can be an amazing time saver. Yes you can dig holes with your hands but why do all that work when using a hand trowel accomplishes the same thing? The fact is this: having the right tools will help you do your job.

Many new gardeners say that figuring out which tools they really need is difficult. These are just a few of the tools that every gardener should have if he or she wants to grow a marvelous garden.

A garden rake is a must have. A garden rake is not the same rake that you will use for raking up leaves in your front or back yard. A garden rake is sturdier and has shorter and stronger teeth that are made from steel. Adjustable width garden rakes are far superior to fixed width rakes because you can make them fit into just about any project that you take on. You will save a lot of money if you opt for the rake with the adjustable width because it can be used in just about any gardening project while a fixed width rake cannot. Garden rakes are used to smooth and level out the dirt in your gardens.

You might also think about buying kneelers. Gardening is mostly done close to the ground so you will spend a lot of time balancing on your hands and knees. You can build your own garden kneelers without much difficulty, all you need are some large pieces of Styrofoam or other (similar) types of materials. Specialty gardening mats are also available for purchase. Many gardeners protect their knees form wear and tear by using kneelers or garden mats. These gardening tools also help you to protect your clothing from getting dirty and worn through.

Gardeners love hand trowels. Many beginning gardeners use their hands for moving dirt around. As you spend more time in your garden, however, using a hand trowel can save you time. It can also help protect your hands. Gardeners use trowels to maneuver the dirt surrounding the plants in the garden (without damaging the plants themselves) and to help speed up the weeding process. Hand trowels are versatile—they come in a bunch of different sizes and can be used on just about any plant in your garden.

Gardening is a hobby that a lot of people find relaxing. There just seems to be something about “playing in the dirt” that people find appealing and that calms their nerves. Lots of people new to gardening will only use their hands . After a while, however, gardening tools become easier to use. If you give it enough time your gardening tools could start to feel like extensions of your own hands and arms. The more time you put into your garden the easier it will be to use gardening tools. Before you know what has happened to you, gardening will begin to feel fun!advice from abed
